University of Houston-Downtown to host awareness walk for Multiple Sclerosis

If you or someone you know is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS), then participating in the upcoming MS Walk taking place on March 28 at the University of Houston-Downtown is a good way to show your support for those afflicted.

Started by the National MS Society, Walk MS is a nationwide effort to raise awareness over MS and its impacts, as well as raise funds to support further research for a cure. This means that, while donations for the event are accepted and appreciated, they are not required to participate or register for the walk.

For those interested in participating, the event site opens at 8 a.m., with the opening ceremony taking place at 9:15. Both accessible walk routes, a 1-mile and 3-mile, start at 9:30 and will feature a hydration station, according to the event’s website. Participants reliant on mobility devices are also welcome to use them.

For more information on this upcoming event, or to get in contact with Walk MS, you can visit the MS Walk Houston website.
