Pearland hosted a “Restaurant Weeks” event throughout the entire month of October highlighting the variety of diverse foodie options.
As a perk for the month-long event, many participating restaurants offered fixed-price menu options, and most included multi-course all-in-one meals. I personally found it a great way to explore Pearland area restaurants with affordable options.
Remton (Pearland)

Remton is a restaurant that specializes in Asian food while also offering fusion options. This Pearland location, opened earlier this year, is a definitive-eclectic modern space with a full bar. For my order I tried their Creamy Blue Crisps, Chicken Lettuce Wrap, and Tonkotsu Black Ramen.
The Creamy Blue Crisps were fresh and warm and were essentially an updated take on the traditional crab Rangoon side option. The chicken lettuce wrap was refreshing, with hints of ground chestnuts and red bell peppers. And the Tonkotsu Black Ramen, a newer dish of theirs, was savory and rich, with a soy-flavored egg and crispy garlic shallots. The diverse and fresh options Remton offers are fit for any mood one might be in.
Magnolia Cajun Comfort

Magnolia Cajun Comfort is a family-owned restaurant under the direction of executive Chef Steve Huag. At this location I tried out their Boudin Balls, Blackened Redfish with Dirty Rice, and Beignets.
The boudin balls had a rich warm spice profile on top of a savory pork fried rice. The fresh, not frozen, blackened redfish over a bed of dirty rice was drizzled with a hearty and rich crawfish etouffee, which paired really nicely together. My desert, the beignets, were light and airy, perfectly fried, and coated in powdered sugar–fully deserving of their status as a staple dish in the region this restaurant is wanting to invoke.
Central Texas BBQ

Central Texas BBQ has been a family-owned Pearland staple since 1969, with a homey and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly suited the food they served. I had their Brisket Baked Potato, Banana Pudding, and the signature country drink, Sweet Tea.
The baked potato is a hearty dish topped with pulled pork with cheese and green onion garnishes, and the banana pudding was a perfectly complementary comfort-food dessert with a sweet vanilla body topped with a dusting of vanilla cookie crumble. Pair these two with a large, sweet tea and you get a truly “Texas” meal.
I had lots of fun trying out all these meals during this event, and am looking forward to what’ll be offered during next year’s Pearland Restaurant Weeks!
