This semester, we at The Signal have managed to get our hands on proper podcasting equipment. With this, we’ve launched our first show of the semester:
Talk With a Hawk!
The idea is to mimic a street-stand setup within the Bayou Building, opening up a space for any student at UHCL to come talk and have their voices heard. Depending on the week, the topic will change, while still keeping room for less themed and more casual discussions as well.
In addition to the open-talk table, we would also be featuring other popular street challenges when available.
If you have ever seen videos such as the Career Ladder, Trivia Challenges and so on, those are the types of events we’d like to host .
Aside from keeping the student body informed about events happening on campus and the surrounding area, we also want to help foster a stronger sense of community here at UHCL.
By hosting an open, public space for any UHCL faculty, staff, or students to come by and share their thoughts, we hope to grant these community members a voice and bring people closer together.
So keep an eye out! Because we’ll be hosting the table right in the Bayou Building, in Atrium 1, at 11:30-12:30 for the rest of the semester.
The hosts and staff present are likely to change from week to week, so in addition to getting a chance to have your voice heard, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet several different members of The Signal in person! If you see us, feel free to come up, introduce yourself and you just might be featured in our next video.
