UHCL Pearland’s 4th annual Scare on the Square event will take place on October 11, 2025 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Hosted in UHCL Pearland’s outdoor courtyard, Scare on the Square is an event that brings food, games, and entertainment to the Pearland campus.
“It’s the fourth year we host it, and it grows every year,” says Corina Morales, Program Manager. “It’s a day of outdoor fun and community.”
“The event will be to celebrate and showcase our beautiful UHCL Pearland location to our UHCL students, faculty, and staff, alumni and the Pearland surrounding communities.”
Attendees can arrive at the courtyard and expect games and activities such as an inflatable obstacle course, moonwalks, cornhole, train rides, trick or treat zone, music, and merch for UHCL.
While the event is free, Pearland food trucks like Tamale Shack, Duron Kettle Corn, and Kings Ice-Cream which will be selling food and treats.
And with the theme centering around Halloween, costumes are encouraged at the event.
“We have many attendees that dress up and we have a small walk around parade for the little ones or anyone that wants to join the fun,” says Morales.
In addition to Memorial Hermann, Scare on the Square will also be sponsored by Community Health Network and UHCL Alumni Association.
